Rochie Dream Event Attended Bancroft Auction

To benefit the Bancroft Elementary kids' education, Rochie Dream Event attended and donated two party events.  This was our first time to attend the auction, although our kids had gone to this school since 2002.  We were completely surprised that the parents really went wild bidding on live auction items.  Everyone had a good time.  Congratulations to the Tobin Family for winning Mrs. Carlsen's Kindergarten Party Basket and the Waldo Family for winning 1 Party Event for 24 kids.

Snow White

I took my daughter and her cousin to watch Snow White at St. Mary's College in Moraga, California.  The two little girls had fun watching the theater show and had pictorial with Snow White.  Watching the show gave me an idea to create a Snow White Birthday theme.  The Disney Snow White gave me the theme color inspiration.  Here's what I came up with the Snow White Theme Tea Party.

The Birth of Rochie Dream Event

My daughter wanted a princess party for her 4th birthday.  The place I planned on doing her event was already booked, so I searched online and decided to rent all the  items needed for the party and just have the party at home.  It was a princess theme in pink.  Even the desserts and cake were properly coordinated with the theme color.  I also hired a Pink Princess to entertain the kids.  The little princesses had a blast and so were the boys in their knight costumes.  The parents also proudly enjoyed watching their kids in their royal attire and formal dining setting.  I received good feedback and compliments about the party that day which continued pouring for weeks.  So the idea of starting a children's party rental ensued following that event.  Ideas were flying in my mind and best of all, I had fun searching the entire kingdom for beautiful and unique treasures fit for royalty that the children will enjoy at their party.

My Beginnings

I started coordinating and planning weddings in the late 1980's with my friends Jean and Nat.  We helped friends plan their wedding events - from doing wedding favors to finding the right venue, caterer, wedding cake, photographer and videographers, and coordinating the ceremony and reception program.  Too bad, we didn't have any digital camera back then.  I was not able to save any pictures for my portfolio, but we made many brides and grooms happy and stress free on their wedding day.  I did my own wedding planning for a year ocean miles away.  I had my wedding in the Philippines in a black and white motif.  When I had my kids, I started planning their birthday parties and stopped doing weddings being busy with my four kids.  But in 2008, I had to plan for my Auntie Faeling's Surprise 80th Birthday Party with 175 guests on the list.  It was a success!   She was completely surprised.
